82nd

It is a very odd feeling, reading and writing about sex all day. It is hard to process. In what way I don't really know. It feels as if you have been looking at the most intimate part of society and then you have to come back to a 'normal' social level to communicate properly. I wonder if this is how philosophers feel most of the time. Spending hours thinking about why things are the way they agree, and then regressing to a more basic state so that they can socialise.

I obviously haven't seen enough of real people this afternoon. My mind is in an unrealistic space that is not conducive to polite conversation. I hope this assignment and research doesn't turn me into some sort of pervert...

Alka isn't, so there's hope there.

69th

The music was good yesterday night. As were the drinks. The conversation wasn't though. The author who I was saying was famous (Shobhaa De) was a rubbish speaker and was spouting some terribly one sided feminism. I love feminism, I just hate it when it's used either in a too general or too unconsidered way.
The music was good though. And because we'd been sitting around for most of the day we knew how best to get comfortable, so we both laid out on three pillows each in an almost completely lying position. We spoke to one of the musicians afterwards to tell him he was good and he said he thought we had been sleeping.
They were called The Men Who Pause. A bit crude really.
After the gig there was an open bar so by the time we got home we were a little drunk. Good old Indian free bars. We got off the Vikram at our stop as usual and there was an intriguing little pop-up temple, so we had a look. The guys were nice and gave us yellow bindis.

Today Mandy visited the office to do some work and we didn't end up doing much. It seems to always be the way. I have been reading the Kama Sutra and proof reading all day and so as it's a Saturday I feel I have earned our trip to a jazz festival tonight.

I have another idea about why I'm having all this deja vu (it's been less wrought with terror but still pretty consistent). I have not felt threatened in any situation since I got here so I feel like my mind is dosing me with fear because I'm so used to feeling it at some point every day in England.

I see this poor dog every morning, I'm gonna give him some food every day and see if I can not see his ribs by the time I leave.

57th - photos

We are still plodding along with the Dancescapes exhibition which means that I haven t started on the work for the Kama Sutra yet. Which means I might not get in done soon. Which means I might not be able to go to Goa. I have to keep reminding myself of this so that I keep bringing it up to Alka. The book is nearly at the printing stage (my first published bit of writing and editing - not attributed to me of course.)

Mostly, I'm looking forward to it being over so that I can read more stuff like this:

'Her workers swear
       The old sugar press
Though it creaks a lot
       Doesn't ooze much juice.'

and be working..
