Just went for my first walk around Paharganj, almost completely overwhelming because I haven't eaten yet and the smells were so intense. There are people selling sleeping bags on the black market because its so cold. Need to pick one up myself because sleeping under just a blanket was quite an effort.
The hotel (Vivek) is at the budget end of the budget hotel scale, but there was hot water this morning for a shower :) going to go to Connaught place in a bit and try and get some lovely snacks. Some guy told me to go there as he assured me that because I'd just arrived I would be 'frightened of Delhi'. I'm not, but I would like a friend to be exploring with me.
